Founded in 1992 by 20 professional bull riders, Professional Bull Riders (PBR) has grown into a global organization with events across several countries and more than 800 PBR-member riders worldwide. Its central challenge is simple to understand and demanding to master: riders must stay aboard a bull for eight seconds to earn a score, with judges evaluating both the rider's technique and the bull's performance.

PBR events typically combine competition rounds with arena production, including bull-riding chutes, video replay and Western entertainment between rides. The result is a fast-moving live sports experience that can appeal to longtime rodeo fans as well as first-time visitors. Western attire is welcome, and the event information describes PBR as suitable for all ages.
